It is nice they have this trainer and somethig for them to skate twords. Not too bad for his second time on skates. The first time we lasted about 10 minutes. Yesterday we were there for the full hour with only a 10 minute break. Lots of fun especially for free.
He wanted to bring his stick with and we ended up using it for a little bit. He was fine until he realized that I wasn't around him anymore and of course wanted me over by him though he was doing fine.
He went back on the trainer and I tossed his stick to the openeing since we were leaving. He saw another kids skate over to his stick. Will is very protective of stuff he likes "that's my stick" and without me telling he he started skating and actaully pulling me all the way across the ice. I took the trainer way and he skated/walked the last 8 feet.. and then fell at the door. Overall good progress but it is still too expensive for him to play ice hockey.
A special treat for him doing so well was a trip to the Choo Choo restaurant in Des Plaines. This is where the toy train brings the food our around the track.
And after that plus a trip to the park on his bike he was all tuckered out and napped a bit on the couch.
